There are many scholarship opportunities offered to international students in the Netherlands. The most well-known of these scholarships is the NL Scholarship, formerly known as the Netherlands Scholarship. These are scholarships supported by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science together with several research universities and universities of applied sciences. The amount of this scholarship that international undergraduate or graduate students can receive in the first year of their education is 5000 Euros. In addition to the NL Scholarship, there are full tuition scholarships offered by universities for successful students and many scholarships offered by private institutions and organizations for international students.
